Here is the full business diary recording major events in the life of business.
All Blogs Made Fully Mobile Friendly
November 5th 2009 All blogs are now 'mobile web friendly' meaning they can be viewed on any internet enabled phone. This is a good step for increasing reach to potential visitors. The static content websites aren't mobile friendly quite yet although they can be viewed fine on large smartphones such as the iPhone and Blackberry's.
Humor Blog Moves To Dedicated Domain - TheHumorBlog.com
October 27th 2009 In 2007 a mini blog was set-up as a subdomain on LittlebritainOnline.com, it was only designed to supplement the main site for a little bit of extra traffic. But it did suprisingly well naturally and has carried on growing for 2 years, now it has been moved to it's own dedicated domain www.thehumorblog.com. This will help with building the site up as its own brand.
Addition Of AspectTV.co.uk To Business. £5000 Input
September 16th 2009 An extra £5000 has been injected into the business. The capital is being used to help fund the purchase of an established electrical retailers called AspectTV.co.uk as well as extra capital to be able to promote all established websites more. The hope is the big influx in commissions that comes in Q4 thanks to Christmas sales will allow the fresh capital to be paid back early 2010.
Domain Leasing Service Now Live
March 28th 2009 The business is now leasing domains focused on specific products. All domains are keyword rich and product specific. The service is aimed at retailers looking to increase sales of specific products. I'm not going to be actively looking for lessees until after the summer of 2009, this is to allow all domains to become established and solid in the SE's. This will mean good value for lessees. However, the service is now live, and the sites are bringing in affiliate revenue already!
New Home: ChrisSatchwell.com
March 11th 2009 ChrisSatchwell.com is now the online home of the business. Better design, perfect for its purpose and ideal for the future. Long-term I want to go Limited, but I want the business to at least have my surname in it, so I've moved early to save future headaches. The old website has been redirected and emails changed.
